CONSULTATION FOR CLINICIANS

EXPAND YOUR SKILLS

Consultation

Comfortable, supportive, and exploratory, consultation can have a huge impact on our work with clients. Alison provides consultation to both students in practicum and clinicians who are already practicing. She approaches consultation through an existential lens, mixing personal exploration with expanding skills. Alison has provided support to many therapists at various degrees of practice and greatly enjoys the dynamic, generative conversations that take place. Alison believes that the consultation relationship is a beautiful space for building personal confidence, feeling more effective with clients, and diving into what it really means to be a therapist.

PODCAST

Edge of the Couch

Cozy living room with a fireplace, leather armchair, and blanket; candlelit ambiance and rainy window view.

Alison co-hosts a therapy podcast, Edge of the Couch, with her good friend and fellow therapist, Jordan Pickell. Jordan and Alison created the podcast that they wish they had when they were new therapists.

Edge of the Couch centres on having conversations about what it means to really be a therapist, even the topics that feel taboo, scary to name, or hard to bring up at school or in supervision.

Beyond podcast episodes, Edge of the Couch, has provided workshops, in-person events, and group consultation. Check out Edge of the Couch here:
